To encourage scientific inquiry and ingenuity amongst the students Delhi Public School MIHAN hosted an Inter School Competition AURORA 2.0 on the theme –‘Promoting STEAM’ that aimed to integrate Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics disciplines in which innovation blended with creativity was showcased to the best by the participants of various prestigious schools of Nagpur.
In this exciting journey of innovation, creativity, and STEAM excellence events like Geometrical Abstraction that blended the beauty of art with the precision of mathematics, Escape Root showcased navigating intricate mazes using mathematical calculations, Innovation Ambassador which focused on presenting innovative ideas, Toy Fair that aimed at creating innovative toys, Trabots where engineering and programming skills of students with their robots was put to test and Trashion -Fashion aimed to redefine fashion to promote sustainability.
Principal Ms Nidhi Yadav rendered the Welcome Address in the Valedictory ceremony and extended a warm welcome to the Chief Guest, the panel of judges, participants as well their mentors. In her address she emphasized the students should identify a problem and undertake extensive research to find solutions for the same.
Lt Col Nikhil Pandey, Superintendent Engineer of AIIMS graced the occasion as Chief Guest and appreciated the efforts of the President and Pro-Vice Chairperson of DPS MIHAN and Kamptee Road Ms.Tulika Kedia and Director DPS MIHAN and Kamptee Road Ms. Savita Jaiswal for their futuristic vision and congratulated the school for providing an excellent platform for the budding scientists to explore their scientific inquiry and research. In his address he highlighted the need to develop critical thinking and innovative ideas amongst the students for the development of the society.
The prize winners in all categories were awarded with medals and certificates. Principal Ms Nidhi Yadav appreciated the efforts of all the in-charges for their untiring efforts in conducting a successful edition of AURORA 2.0
