DPS MIHAN celebrates 3rd Annual Day with ‘La Lumiere – A Journey towards the light of self-discovery’

Nagpur: Delhi Public School (DPS), MIHAN, celebrated its 3rd Annual Day with a theatrical performance “La Lumiere – A Journey towards the light of self-discovery” on December 10 with gaiety and great fervour.

A myriad of celebrations, replete with drama, music and dazzling dances amidst great zest and vibrancy kept the audience awestruck. Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, was the Chief Guest of the programme. Guest of honour Tulika Kedia, President and Pro-Vice Chairperson of Delhi Public School MIHAN and Kamptee Road, Nagpur, Savita Jaiswal, Director DPS MIHAN and Kamptee Road, Shalabh Kedia, Life Member of Shri Chiranjilal Bajoria Educational Society and other prominent dignitaries were present on the occasion.

The acclaimed guests were felicitated with the saplings emphasizing the ‘Go Green’ ideology of DPS MIHAN. The programme commenced with traditional lighting of the lamp ceremony followed by release of the school magazine ‘MIHAN MUSINGS’ at the hands of Gadkari. In his address, Gadkari emphasized on the practical and project based learning. He appreciated the efforts undertaken by the school in creating awareness amongst the students for nature conservation. The distinguished guests were all praise for the relevant concept and the creativity showcased by the young DPsites.

The theatrical performance on the theme of “Time Travel” was an in-house production right from the script writing to direction. It whisked the audience on a thrilling journey in a spectacular time machine as it propelled through territories and time showcasing stone age era, Independence Movement, French Revolution, Michael Jackson era and futuristic era.

All the esteemed guests including the parents congratulated the school for such an edifying theme exemplified through Dance, Music and Drama. The brilliant performers of DPS, MIHAN successfully conveyed the message that humans should only make use of technology for the amelioration of mankind.
