Chennai: The Madras high court today dismissed the plea seeking to revoke the censor certificate issued for Vijays Tamil film Mersal.

Stating that the freedom of expression is for all, the court said Mersal is only a film and not a real life.

The court also said if you don’t like the film then don’t watch it.

Diwali release Mersal has kicked up a row with the Bharatiya Janata Party taking exception to references on GST in the movie.

BJP leader have been demanding that the ‘incorrect’ references be deleted from the big-budget flick.

However, opposition and a host of Tamil cinema industry representatives had supported the film crew on the issue.
