Nagpur Today: A Suspended Police Constable  posted  at Jaripatka Police Station, tried to kill his wife by making his legally married wife dink a juice lace with poison in Kapil Nagar area. Yet another instance of police in-action has come to fore in this case.

According to information, two years ago, the victim aged 22 years had married a Sepoy posted in Jaripatka Police Station. Just after one year of his marriage to the victim, the Sepoy had started having an illicit relationship with another lady.

Without the knowledge of the victim or informing the victim, the Sepoy had married the lady with whom he used to have an illicit relationship.

When the victim came to know this marriage with another lady, the victim had promptly lodged a police case against the Sepoy. On investigation, the allegations were found to be true and he was dismissed from service.

Angered by this complaint lodged by his legally married wife, he had been pressurizing the victim by doling out threats and scaring her using various threat techniques to take back the complaint. When he could not succeed in threatening her or pressurizing her to take back the complaint, she wooed her and gave her a juice laced with poison. The unsuspecting lady imbibed the juice and soon the poison started taking action. The police arrived at the spot when the neighbors found her reacting to poison and admitted her into Hospital.

What is inciting anger is the fact that when the victim related the entire incident to cops, instead of arresting him, they policemen took the accused former Sepoy with them to the hospital to take the statement of the victim. This showed how the policemen attached with Jaripatka Police Station are hand in gloves with the accused. To add to this the Jaripatka Police Station merely registered a case under 323 of IPC against the accused, while the case merits registration under section 307 of IPC for attempt to kill someone.

However, the Jaripatka Police is investigating further.
