Director of Seven Dreams, 3 others booked for cheating investors of Rs 28 lakh

Nagpur: Sonegaon police have booked the Director and three other persons of an investment company for cheating many people to the tune of Rs 28.32 lakh by luring them with doubling their money in investment.

A resident of Zenda Chowk, Somalwada, Wardha Road, Anand Sampat Ragtate (61), in his complaint to Sonegaon police said that the accused Director of Seven Dreams Multitrade Pvt Ltd, resident of Plot No. 701, 7th Floor, King Ganesham Phase 2, Pimpri, Pune, Rajendra Jadhav of Pune, Santosh Singhnath of Wadgaon, Pune and Subhash Ghogre of Sanghdeep Nagar, Chandrapur, lured him and many other people to invest in their firm.

The accused ‘promised’ to double their money within 24 months. Believing the accused, Anand Ragtate and his many relatives invested a total of Rs 28.32 lakh in Seven Dreams Multitrade Pvt Ltd in the hope of high returns. But the accused did not return the money as promised and thus cheated Ragtate and others.

Sonegaon PSI Shinde has registered a case against the accused under Sections 406, 409, 420, 120(B) of the IPC read with Section 3 of Maharashtra Protection of Interest of Depositors (in Financial Establishments) Act, and started investigations.
