Developer booked by Pardi police for duping senior citizen of Rs 12 lakh in land deal

Nagpur: Pardi Police in Nagpur on Sunday booked two persons, including one of the directors of KLX Land Developers, for allegedly defrauding a senior citizen to the tune of Rs 12 lakh in a land deal.

The accused have been identified as Anand Shrawanji Pardhi (38), a resident of Plot No 339, Bharat Nagar, Bharatwada and Kiran Kumar Lakhan Lal Sahu (50), a resident of Plot No 321, Badkas Chowk, Kotwali.

The complainant Ramesh Govindrao Nimje (62), a resident of Plot No 1493, Sharda Chowk, Bhandewadi, Pardi, told police that Pardhi and Shahu promised to sell Plots No 72- 73, admeasuring 11000 sq ft, at Khasra No 147, PHN 19, Mouza Aawdi for Rs 18 lakh. He alleged that they took Rs 12 lakh from him between July 17, 2017 and January 10, 2022 at the office of KLX Land Developers, Bhavani Nagar, but did not execute the sale deed and refused to return him the money.

On the basis of the complaint, police registered a case under Section 420 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code against the accused duo and started investigations.
