    Decomposed body of cop’s wife found in police quarter in Gittikhadan

    Nagpur:
    A highly decomposed body of a middle aged woman was found in a Police Quarter in Gittikhadan area here on Thursday afternoon. The deceased woman is wife of a head constable attached to Ganeshpeth Police Station.

    The deceased has been identified as Sunita Arvindlal Pandey (50), resident of Police Quarter No. E/24/3 in Gittikhadan area. Sources said that Sunita was afflicted an illness since past few many years and she was being treated in her home itself. Around 2 pm on Thursday, nearby residents informed Gittikhadan police about foul smell emanating from Qr No. E/24/3. After receiving information, a team of Gittikhadan cops reached the spot and forcibly opened the door. They found body of Sunita in highly decomposed condition. Cops conducted preliminary probe and sent the body to Mayo Hospital for post mortem. The post mortem report would throw light on exact cause of Sunita’s death. The deceased Sunita’s husband Arvindlal Pandey is head constable at Ganeshpeth Police Station.

    Gittikhadan police have registered a case of accidental death and launched a thorough investigation covering all angles.
