Dainik Bhaskar Group Chairman Ramesh Agarwal passes away

Ramesh Agarwal, Chairman of Dainik Bhaskar Group, passed away earlier today. He was 77 and passed away following a cardiac arrest. He breathed his last in Apollo Hospital, Ahmedabad. Agarwal is survived by three sons.

Agarwal led the Dainik Bhaskar board for more than four decades. He was ranked 95 in Forbes list of richest Indians in 2012 and has been awarded the Rajeev Gandhi Life time Achievement Award in Journalism. He was also Chairman of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry – Madhya Pradesh.

He turned his inheritance of a single Hindi language newspaper into a formidable media powerhouse.
