Dacoity foiled in Ramnagar, 4 goons nabbed

Nagpur: The Crime Branch on the dead night of Tuesday foiled a dacoity plan in the posh Ramnagar area area, by arresting four robbers in the nick of time. One other miscreant managed to escape the spot and is being hunted. Four arrested accused include two from Madhya Pradesh.

A patrolling team of Crime Branch received information at about 0130 hours of Tuesday that a gang of five suspicious persons have assembled at a dark spot near Madrasi Mandir in Bajiprabhu Nagar, Ramnagar. Acting on the information, the cops rushed to the spot. Noticing the approaching policemen, the five members of the gang tried to flee the spot but were chased by the cops.

The Crime Branch team succeeded in nabbing four accused namely Aditya Balram Chauhan (20), Tejal Ashok Maneshwar (20), both natives of Balaghat (MP), Akash Ashok Dhurve (24) of Mankapur and Arvind Naresh Karosiya (26) of Pandhrabodi. One more accused called Bhurya managed to escape from the spot. Upon frisking, cops seized material and lethal arms likely to be used in the dacoity from the accused.

Ambazari police have booked the four arrested accused under Sections 399, 402 of the IPC and searching the absconding accused.
