Nagpur: Nagpur Chapter of ICSI jointly with Western India Regional Council organised a two days Conference on various Opportunity for Company Secretary on 22th July, 2017 which was attended by a strong gathering of 130+ participants which includes Members of ICSI and dignitaries like Vikas Mahatme, Member of Rajya Sabha as Chief Guest of the conference.
CS Chanchal Loya, Chairperson of Nagpur Chapter of ICSI welcomed the participants and greeted the speakers with a floral bouquet. Moderating the program CS Rohan Mehta, CS Karishma Jaisingh, CS Saraha Sunelwala & CS Lavina Panjawani introduced all the speakers to the audience.
Speaking first, CS Divesh Goyal shared the details of Implications of Exemptions given to Private Companies with its fundamental concept and importance of Company Secretary for the same.
Later Sh Dr. Vikas Mahatme, Member of Rajya Sabha shared his knowledge with us and also named company Secretary as emerging professional for the corporate world and Common platform for Secretarial Compliance of Corporate World.
Speaking next, CS Prachi Manekar, Advocate Bombay High Court Mumbai spoke on the topic ‘National Company law Tribunal -NCLT. She informed the participants that the role and responsibility of Company Secretary after enactment of New Companies Act 2013 and Implementation of NCLT/ NCLAT in recent past.
Speaking next, Mr. Gagandeep Singh, Assistance Manager, SME, National Stock Exchange and CS Mukesh Parekh, PCS Nagpur spoke on the subject matter of SME Listing Emerging Alternate Capital Market Place and at last panel discussion on Managing Board Crisis – Role of CS headed by CS B Renganathan, Mumbai, Edelweiss Financial Service Limited, Mumbai.
Concluding the program CS Rashmi Mitkary, Secretary of Nagpur Chapter of ICSI thanked all the speakers with a memento and appreciated their efforts in enlightening the audience with their knowledge.
Tomorrow CS Prakash Pandya, Chairman WIRC-ICSI will take the session on Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code and CS Mukesh Parakh, PCS Nagpur will take the session on “Critical Issues in Company law- Tips for CS”
