Nagpur witnessed a full-blown cricket carnival today as the T20 international match between India and New Zealand got underway at the iconic Jamtha Stadium. From early afternoon itself, the atmosphere around the stadium turned electric, with thousands of fans pouring in to be part of the high-voltage encounter.
What stood out immediately was the sea of blue. Men, women, and children arrived in large numbers, most proudly sporting Indian team jerseys, waving tricolour flags, and donning face paint and creative accessories. Families, young cricket enthusiasts, and first-time stadium-goers added to the festive vibe, turning the venue into a visual celebration of Indian cricket fandom. Alongside the blue jerseys, fans were also seen in colourful casual outfits, caps, and scarves, giving the crowd a lively and diverse look.
Traffic Situation Managed Smoothly
With such a massive turnout, heavy traffic on routes leading to the stadium was expected-and it did build up. However, the situation remained under control throughout the day. Roads towards Jamtha saw slow-moving traffic, but importantly, no major traffic jams were reported.
