Cricket: Centre Point School (CPS) emerge U-12 champion

cpkNagpur: The under-12 cricket team of (CPS), Katol Road emerged champion in the Karnewar U-12 cricket tournament held on Mecosabagh ground recently.

In the first match against Tip Top Convent CPS Katol Road drubbed their opponents by 8 wickets. In the second match Centre Point School played aggressively to pip South Point School by 6 wickets.

In the semi-finals too CPS Katol Road maintained their winning streak to defeat BVM Shrikrishna Nagar by 6 wickets. In the final encounter CPS Katol Road boys crushed CPS Wardhaman Nagar by 8 wickets to clinch the title.

Prabhviraj Singh Lamba bagged best captain and best all rounder award. Ryan Rajput was adjudged best bowler while Kavish Dhakne was named best upcoming cricketer.

Shourya Khetrapal was adjudged best junior cricketer. Lakshya Sahani, Kumar Swyam, Devansh Mishra and Aadvik Bhatia won consolation prizes.
The team gave credit of their title win to coach Mangesh Pandit (HOD Sports) and Ravi Mendhe. Principal Shilpee Ganguly, vice principals Renu Singh and Mridu Gulla lauded the budding cricketers for their achievement.
