Nagpur: To cater to the surge in passenger demand during the summer season, Central Railway has announced six weekend special train services connecting Nagpur with Mumbai and Pune.
Under this arrangement, four services will run between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) and Nagpur, while two services will operate between Nagpur and Pune.
CSMT–Nagpur Weekend Specials (4 Services):
Train No. 01021 will depart from CSMT at 12:30 am on May 1 and May 3, reaching Nagpur at 3:45 pm the same day. In return, Train No. 01022 will leave Nagpur at 9:40 pm on May 1 and May 3, arriving at CSMT at 1:50 pm the following day.
These trains will halt at major stations including Dadar, Thane, Kalyan, Igatpuri (for return service), Nashik Road, Manmad, Jalgaon, Bhusawal, Malkapur, Shegaon, Akola, Murtizapur, Badnera, Dhamangaon, and Wardha.
The composition includes AC 3-tier, sleeper class, and general coaches to accommodate different categories of passengers.
Pune–Nagpur Weekend Specials (2 Services):
Train No. 01467 will depart from Pune at 3:50 pm on May 1, reaching Nagpur at 8:05 am the next day. Train No. 01468 will depart from Nagpur at 7:00 am on May 3, arriving in Pune at 11:30 pm the same day.
These trains will halt at stations such as Uruli, Daund Chord Line, Ahilya Nagar, Kopargaon, Manmad, Jalgaon, Bhusawal, Shegaon, Akola, Badnera, Dhamangaon, and Wardha. The rake composition includes AC 2-tier, AC 3-tier, sleeper, and general coaches.
Bookings for these special services opened on April 29 at reservation centres and on the official IRCTC website. Unreserved tickets can be booked through the UTS system.
Railway authorities have urged passengers to plan their journeys in advance and take advantage of these additional services during the peak travel season.
