Nagpur: In a first of its kind, a husband-wife duo, in a well-planned conspiracy, took dozens of students for a ride and deceived them in lakhs by opening a bogus tuition class. After collecting huge amounts from the students the accused couple bundled out the ‘tuition class’ and thus left the students high and dry. The con couple has been booked and being hunted by cops.

The fraudster husband-wife duo, identified as Kalyan Kumar and Sudha Kalyan Kumar, both residents of 402, Aditya Heritage Apartment, Byramji Town, hatched a conspiracy and accordingly, opened a tuition class by name of Focus (C 30) Education Private Limited at Block No. 5, A Wing, Mangalwari Complex, Sadar, for Class XI and XII students. The accused con couple collected huge sums of money from more than 25 students.

The accused Kalyan Kumar and Sudha Kalyan Kumar formally started the tuition class from 20-10-2015 but bundled it on 1.11.2015 even before the fixed duration and that too without duly informing parents and students. The accused couple vanished into thin airs putting the students’ education in jeopardy and losses in lakhs. One of the flabbergasted parents Prakash Kashinath Dhawle (52), resident of Kushinagar, Jaripatka, approached Sadar Police Station and registered a case against the accused couple in this respect.

The Lady PSI Bagde, acting on the complaint, has booked the accused Kalyan Kumar and Sudha Kalyan Kumar under Sections 420, 34 of IPC and mounted a hunt to nab the absconding husband and wife.
