Couple booked for fraudulently availing home loan of Rs 22 lakh

Nagpur: Sonegaon Police on Wednesday booked a couple for fraudulently availing home loan of Rs 22 lakh from Bank of Baroda’s (BoB) Airport Branch by submitting fake documents.

Identified as Ganesh Ashok Lanjewar (31) and his wifeVrunda Lanjewar (28), the accused are the residents of Plot No 17-A, Senapati Nagar, Dighori.

Harshal Giridhar Fulzele (30), Probationary Officer, BoB, Airport Branch, lodged a complaint that the accused couple submitted fake property-related documents and availed home loan of Rs 22 lakh in August 2016.

On the basis of Fulzele’s complaint, Sonegaon Police registered an offence under Sections 406, 420, 465, 468, 471 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code against Lanjewar couple. Further investigations are underway.
