Nagpur: Corporator’s husband along with notorious gambler and 12 others were arrested in a gambling raid by Lakadganj police on the first floor at a religious place in Lakadganj area on early Thursday morning.
Deva Shirke, husband of corporator Nimisha Shirke, was also found gambling with notorious gamble Annna Raut. Police has seized cash Rs 3.70 lakhs from the gambling den.
Police said that the gambling den was started by one of the accused Manohar Panchbudhe, who was also arrested during the raid. The den was known as Dhawde’s den.
On a tip-off, a police team of 40 personnel including senior officials raided the spot. Police has registered against all 14 people caught in the raid.
