Nagpur: In the select Railway Stations, employees of private PR companies will provide information regarding trains at Enquiry Counters. Till now, The Railway administration deployed their employees at counters at Railway Stations. But due to shortage of manpower and other reasons, the Railways have decided to entrust the responsibility to a private sector company at select Railway Stations.
The trial of this arrangement is going on at Danapur Railway Station on pilot project basis. The experiment has been seen as successful. There is possibility that this service will be implement at A1 and A grade stations in the coming days. Since Nagpur being A1 grade Station, the service will be started here as well. For activation of this service, a tender will be floated by the Railways.
The railway passengers frequently complain about poor service at Enquiry Counter. The passengers are more disappointed with the behaviour of the man handing the counter. Now, employees of the company bagging the tender will work in three shifts.
