Cops raid posh flat in Gokulpeth Market, bust sex racket, two boys arrested

Nagpur: In a major success, Social Security Branch (SSB) of city police raided an apartment building in posh and busy Gokulpeth market area and busted a sex racket being run from a flat. Two young boys have been arrested and a girl was rescued in the operation.

The Crime Branch received a tip-off that the sex racket is being operated from Flat No. 303, Third Floor, Umashankar Apartment, Gokulpeth Market. Acting on the information, cops first sent a decoy customer to the flat and ‘negotiated a deal’ with one of the accused Abhijit Shudhodhan Fulzele, who is used to lure the needy girls with ‘handsome’ money and push them into flesh trade. After the ‘successful negations,’ the accused Abhijit agreed to ‘supply’ a girl to the decoy customer. As soon as ‘deal’ was struck, the decoy customer signaled the waiting sleuths of SSB. The SSB sleuths nabbed the accused Abhijit Shudhodhan Fulzele (23), resident of Plot No. 20, Shramjivi Nagar, Ajni and Satish Bhushan Bagadkar (24), a native of Gondia and owner of the flat in the apartment building. The accused Satish Bagadkar used to make available his flat for running the sex racket. A victim girl was also rescued from the flat.

The two accused Abhijit and Satish were booked under Section 370 of IPC read with Sub-Sections 3, 4, 5, 7 of Prevention of Illegal Trafficking Act 1956 and placed under arrest.

The operation was initiated under the directives of Crime Branch DCP Deepali Masirkar and was carried out by Senior PI Deepak Khobragade, Lady PSI S M Patil and other policemen.
