Nagpur: Police confirmed the death of Durgesh Bokde the Main accused in the sensational kidnapping and murder case of Rahul Agrekar. Durgesh committed suicide by hanging himself in the Gupta guest house in Raipur. A press conference was called by the Nagpur police at Police Commissioner’s Office.
Addressing the press conference DCP Crime Branch Sambhaji Kadam said the greed for easy money was main motive behind Rahul Agrekar’s abduction and murder as revealed by the one of the accused persons Pankaj Harode. Both the accused were head over heels in debt and so they conspired to kidnap Rahul Agrekar whose financial status was very good and so they could extort money easily.
After kidnapping and murdering Rahul Agrekar both were on the run but police were successful in catching one of accused persons Pankaj Harode from Kolkata while Durgesh Bokde managed to escape sensing trouble and today he was found dead in Gupta’s guest house in Raipur. He had committed suicide by hanging himself.
Present for the press conference were DCP Zone 3 Rahul Makhanikar, ACP Munde, PI Santosh Khandekar, crime branch staff and Lakadganj police were present.
