Nagpur News: Nandanvan Police booked two people for negligence and thus resulting in the death of a 35-year-old truck driver. Police said, on September 10, the accused Anand Ishwardas Behar (32), a resident of Plot No. 367, Subhan Nagar parked his truck MH 35-501 near in front of Kerosene Depot, Plot No. 3, Hiwri layout and went to a bank. When he returned, he saw the truck was afire.
Anand rushed to extinguish the fire but to no avail. Anand’s cousin Jayant Dilip Behar tried to help Anand in extinguishing the fire but he suffered burn injuries in the process and the truck driver who sustained major burn injuries succumbed.
On the complaint of Anand, Nandanvan police had registered an offence of accidental death. After the digging out the details in the case, it was revealed that the fire was an outcome of negligence from Anand Behar and Ashok Kewalram Jojwani (50), a resident of Mocosabagh, Sindhi Colony. Their negligence resulted in the fire accident and thus in the death of truck driver. Nandanvan police have booked Anand and Ashok in this regard under Section 304 (a) of the IPC.
