Nagpur.
The election rush is gathering enough dust to fuel the gossip mills. And the latest one came from Maharashtra State BJP President Devendra Fadnavis who is also BJP’s candidate from South West Nagpur assembly constituency. Fadnavis belted out the unique comparison of both Congress and NCP in his own inimitable style at an election rally in Nilanga in Latur district. The promising BJP MLA hit out at the rival Congress party and its previous alliance NCP in the ‘vehicular’ manner. He compared Congress with one of the scooter brand which is not doing much on sales. Moreover, he also went on to degrade NCP from a plush high selling sedan to the much low segment economy car.
Fadnavis said, “Congress is already ‘Vespa’ party, adding that NCP was ‘Innova’ party in the Lok Sabha elections but we will make them ‘Nano’ party post this election.”
Addressing the rally, Fadnavis said that people should vote this 15th October to oust the 15 years of misrule of Cong-NCP. He said, “Prithviraj Chavan claims that Maharashtra is no 1. Yes it is no. 1 in load shedding, atrocities on women, unemployment, farmers suicide, crime. Now people are eager to throw this government out.”
Though Fadnavis reached the rally venue good 4 hours late, this did not deter crowd to stand for their favourite leader. Besides Fadnavis, Member of Parliament Rupatai Patil, Sunil Gaikwad, Bhagwant Khuba were present on the dais. Ram Chandra Patil Talegaonkar joined BJP on the occasion.
Earlier in the day he addressed meetings in Bhadgaon in Jalgaon dist and Chalisgaon where he pulled huge turnout.
