Looks like Coldplay just can’t get enough of India. The band was the headline act at the Super Bowl half-time show and anyone who saw them perform could not help but notice an evident ‘Hindi’ influence with the band’s new look.
The set was decorated with marigolds. The amplifiers and Will Champion’s bass drum had ‘Coldplay’ written in Hindi on them.

And last week, he had the Internet discussing his love for India with his latest single “Hymn for the Weekend” which features a cameo by actress Sonam Kapoor.

Chis Martin has visited India twice now.
His first visit was in July last year where he and actress Freida Pinto had met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and pitched support to the his ‘Swachh Bharat’ and the ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ campaigns.
The frontman also managed to surprise some lucky Delhiites when he broke into an impromptu gig and was joined by composer-singer Vishal Dadlani on stage at a tony pub in South Delhi.

Ok, I just got off stage from standing around while Chris Martin of Coldplay did an impromptu set. Holy wow!!
The second time around he visited along with his other band members to shoot one of their songs in the upcoming album “The head full of dreams” in Mumbai. While the band were shooting a holi sequence, the diverse colour of the country has certainly etched a place in the band’s heart.
And the Indian theme at their Super Bowl performance establishes their love for the country.
