Nagpur: Continuing the series of interaction with the legends of Coal Industry with WCL officers, a workshop was organized by Nagpur based Public Enterprises, Western Coalfields in Human Resource Development department today. The workshop was on “Coal – the game changer of the economy” by U. Kumar, former Chairman and Managing Director of NCL & SECL. While addressing the inaugural session of the workshop, Chairman cum Managing Director of WCL Rajiv R. Mishra said that Kumar is a well known mining engineer and known as one of the pillar of Coal Industry with more than three decades of experience in Coal India and about two decades in private sector. WCL is fortunate to host this workshop.
Kumar started with the history of Coal Industry and discussed about the changing trends of the industry. He briefed about, how the industry has changed post globalization in our country. Kumar also detailed about, how the Coal can change the game of entire economy. Later during open interaction session Kumar answered the quarries of WCL officers. Kumar appreciated the progress of WCL under the leadership of Rajiv R Mishra and showered his blessings for future. During inaugural session Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Director (Personnel), S. M. Choudhary, Director (Finance) all HoDs and senior & Gen-Nxt executives were prominently present. The programme was conducted by V. K. Jah, Principal, HRD, WCL.
