Nagpur: Click2Cloud, an Artificial Intelligence (AI) company led by entrepreneur Prashant Mishra, marked a significant milestone with the groundbreaking ceremony for its unit at MIHAN-SEZ. The company, having secured co-developer status, plans to capitalize on its 1.8-acre space, initially developing 80,000 sq ft within the SEZ. The bhoomipujan was done at the hands of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari

With roots in Bhandara and a previous Lok Sabha election candidacy from the constituency, Prashant Mishra envisions the Click2Cloud campus as a hub for technological innovation. The company, set to commence operations within a year, aims to accommodate 400 employees initially, with the potential to expand to 4,000 tech professionals as operations scale up.

Click2Cloud is set to make strides in the agriculture sector with its AI-based product, offering farmers technological insights into soil conditions. The product, currently serving seven countries and select regions in India, reflects the company’s commitment to technological advancements in agriculture.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, the chief guest at the ceremony, received insights from MIHAN-SEZ Development Commissioner Sraman Vasireddy. Vasireddy highlighted challenges faced by the SEZ, emphasizing the need for stronger marketing initiatives to attract investments. Out of 96 units in the SEZ, only 36 are operational, utilizing 243 hectares out of the total 1,230 hectares available.

In response to the concerns raised, Vasireddy proposed Gadkari take charge as the chief patron of the unit holders’ advisory committee, aiming to enhance collaboration between SEZ-affiliated companies. The committee, including representatives from MIHAN-SEZ units and independent business associations, seeks to bolster marketing efforts through road shows and seminars across the country.

Vasireddy emphasized the importance of Gadkari’s support in elevating MIHAN-SEZ’s profile, advocating for increased investments and operational units. Plans for a more representative advisory committee, primarily comprising companies within MIHAN, were also revealed, aiming to streamline the collective efforts toward the SEZ’s prosperity.
