Nagpur: The Mangalwari Zone of NMC, Prabhag Corporator, NGO Green Vigil Foundation and Police Headquarters jointly undertook a cleanliness drive under Swachh Maharashtra Mission. During the drive, the Police Line Talao (Lake) in Rajnagar was cleaned of silt, waste material, garbage including nirmalya, plastic bags, idols and other nasty material. Similarly, wild grass and shrubs were removed from around the lake.
The dignitaries who participated in the cleanliness drive include Mangalwari Zone Assistant Commissioner Mahesh Dhamecha, Deputy Engineer Wasnik, Sanitation Officer Patil, Nandanwar, Prabhag Corporator Dr Chopra, Sheela Mohod, Sanjay Mohod, Thakur. Green Vigil Foundation’s Kaustubh Chaterjee, Borkar and their entire team also took part in the drive.

On behalf of Police Headquarters, Ramanand C Singh and his team of 30-35 personnel participated in the cleanliness campaign apart from residents of the Mangalwari Zone. The drive was undertaken from 7.30 am to 9.30 am.
