Nagpur: A 6-year old girl from Nagpur wrote the first letter of her life to none other than the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and greeted him on his birthday. The kid found herself on Cloud 9 when the busy Prime Minister reciprocated and thanked her for the grand gesture.
Ananya, the little angel from Wadi locality of the city and her family would not have even dreamed that Modi would take notice and respond to the letter wishing him on his birthday that falls on September 17. Now, the family sees itself on top of the world. And why shouldn’t they be? They possess a treasure of a letter signed by Modi himself. The little kid has now one more wish. To meet the Prime Minister personally.
A resident of Lifestyle Socirty, Ananya is a student of Class I in Dabha-based Sandipani School. The kid decided to write her first letter of her life. And the recipient of the letter was Prime Minister and the occasion was his birthday that falls on September 17. She took out a pencil and started jotting down the words in Sanskrit. Her words of birthday greetings are: “Sudinam Sudinam Janmadinam, Bhavtu Mangalam Janmadinam, Chiranjiv Kuru Punyawardhanamah, Chiranjiv Kuru Kirtiwardh Namah, Vijayi Bhava Sarvatra Sarvada, Jagati Bhavatu Tava Mruyshoganam.” Ananya ended the letter with words “Aapki Pyari.”
After writing the letter with her tiny hand, Ananya posted it to the Prime Minister. But a lifetime event was awaiting the little kid and her family. On October 10, a wave of happiness erupted in the family when they received a reply to the Ananya’s greeting letter. The Prime Minister Narendra Modi reciprocated the grand gesture on Ananya’s part. In his letter to the angel, Modi wrote down: “Priya Ananya, Janma din par shubhkamnayen preshit karne ke liye aapka dhanyavad. Aapke prernadayi shabdone mujhe aur adhik urja va kadi mehnat ke saath desh ki seva ke liye prerit kiya hai. Yeh ham sab ke prayason ka hi parinam hain ki desh bhar me swachhata va anya samajik sevao me log badh chadh kar hissa le rahe hain. Hamare sammilit prayaso se hi naye Bharat ka nirman hoga. Aapke swasthya va sukhad bhavishya ki kamna sahit, Aapka Narendra Modi.”
The 6-year old Ananya has special interest in drawing, general knowledge and sports as well.
