City traffic cops issue fresh notification for ‘No Parking Zone,’ other steps to minimise chaos in Dhantoli

Nagpur: Acting on the directives issued by the Nagpur Bench of Bombay High Court, the city police had issued notification banning parking on 19 stretches in overcrowded residential-cum-commercial area of Dhantoli and permitted only one way vehicular traffic movement in three lanes in an effort to minimize chaos due to haphazard parking of vehicles and traffic congestion. However, the police found the measure inadequate as due to commercial establishments and private hospitals, parking places are falling short and as a result this area witnessed chaos all along the day.

Now, the city traffic police have come up with a fresh notification on ‘no-parking zone,’ Parking P-1, Parking P-2 in Dhantoli. This decision will be implemented on pilot basis for one month and after assessing the impact and suggestions received from citizens, the same will be modified.
