Buoyed by the phenomenal New Delhi win in the recently concluded assembly elections, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is leaving no stone unturned to set its card right to continue their success spell in the upcoming Lok Sabha and assembly polls across few states including Maharashtra. As AAP President and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is watching his every move and consciously eyeing the candidates to be fielded across various Lok Sabha seats, the party has set few parameters to ensure right candidate is accorded the party ticket.

As of now, AAP is focusing on the ideal candidates for Lok Sabha elections. Responding to the AAP’s call inviting applications from the deserving candidates, many have come out of the closet to seek candidature for contesting MPs election.

AAP has put up names of the candidates who have applied till date on its website. For convenience, the seat wise list has been displayed. A close look at the list of applications reveals that many from Nagpur have also posted their claims for being ideal candidate to contest Nagpur Lok Sabha seat.

The candidates on display indicate AAP’s crystal clear mindset to field people with clean image irrespective of their political experience.

Sources added however the candidates applying for the AAP ticket must bear a letter having atleast 600 signatures from their supporting people. The parameter is devised to gauge the candidate’s quick potential which will decide his future fate.

Microscopic selection process involved

An insider revealed that AAP candidates will be picked after due diligence and detailed scrutiny. Elaborating on the procedure he said the candidates’ profile is being examined at the party’s top level. A final list of top 5 candidates will be made for each Lok Sabha seat and their names will be published across media to invite objections, if any against  the final pick of candidates. If anything comes against the candidate positioned as number one, preference would be given the second rung applicant.
