Nagpur: Nagpur wore a festive look on Thursday as citizens geared up to welcome the new year 2016. The ecstasy and excitement of the coming year was very evident since morning as people started wishing their loved ones on phone, through SMS and other social media sites.
The schools and specially colleges wore a deserted look. At many places, revellers made huge preparations for partying at night. Hotels, clubs, farm houses and restaurants were decked up to welcome people for the new year celebrations.
Revellers sang and danced till late night on the tunes of DJs, At many places, live shows were organised with celebrities making their presence felt in many functions.

Happening places like Futala lake, Ambazari garden, DP road and Poonam Chambers were the attraction for the people as revellers assembled in large numbers at these places. Cops ensured that nothing goes out of hand with barricading and checking at various places.
