Zoonotic Diseases and Neuroinfections

Scientists from different parts of India are gathering together at Dr. G. M. Taori’s Central India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bajaj Nagar, Nagpur to discuss the issues on Zoonotic diseases, transmitted from animals to humans such as Brucellosis, Listeriosis, Scrub typhus, AES etc and on Neuro-infections like brain tuberculosis (TB) , cerebral malaria etc.
The event is organized by Dr. G. M. Taori Central India Institute of Medical Sciences, Research Centre at NEERI Auditorium on Saturday, August 6, 2016 from 10:00 am onwards.

Vice Chancellor Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Dr. Siddharthavinayaka P. Kane and Chair Epidemiologist and Former Director of National Institute of Epidemiology, Chennai Dr. Mohan Gupte, ICMR, will grace the function.

In addition to that, Local Chapter of Society for Neurochemistry India (SNCI) will be inaugurated along with the conference. Dr. Prakash Babu (Secretary SNCI & Proffessor and Head of the Department of Biotechnology University of Hyderabad) and Dr. Rajpal Singh Kashyap (Joint Secretary SNCI and Director Research, CIIMS) along with other SNCI members will be present during the occasion.

This conference is organized to create awareness amongst all medical doctors, scientists and common man regarding various Zoonotic diseases. This initiative was taken under the joint project of ICMR-ICAR on Zoonotic diseases.

More than 200 delegates have already registered for this conference as informed by Dr. Amit Nayak (Organizing Secretary SNCI, Research Scientist CIIMS) and Anuja Kawle (Joint Organizing Secretary SNCI & SRF CIIMS). The programme is organized under the guidance of management of CIIMS, Dr. Lokendra Singh (Director), Dr. H. F. Daginawala (Honorary Research Consultant) and Dr. Rajpal Singh Kashyap (Director Research).
