Christmas Rally taken out in Wadi

Nagpur: A procession was taken out with religious fervour from Wadi to 8th Mile on the occasion of Christmas. The rally was a joint effort of all the churches. Christian brethren dressed in attires of the nativity scene joyfully took part in the procession. Churches in Wadi, Dattawadi, 8th Mile celebrated the birth of Jesus Christ. The churches were decorated attractively and echoed with the singing of carols sung for the Glory of Jesus Christ. The priest shared the word of God, cut cake and celebrated the birth of Jesus in new clothes.

On December 26, a rally was organized by all the churches of Wadi, Dattawadi and 8th Mile. The Christian youth, children were on their two wheelers as well as on the decorated truck, wearing attractive attires of the first Christmas scene. They sung melodious songs during the rally. The rally commenced from Wadi Naka in the evening and went to Amravati Road via, Wadi Bazaar, Defence Gate to 8th Mile. The procession stopped at various points and presented Christmas carols, dances and slogans.

The rally was organized by Rev. Satyajit Deodhar of Community Baptist Church, Dattawadi and the organizing committee. The rally returned back to the starting point at Wadi Naka under the guidance of Pratik Singh, Sachin Thorat, Sheetal Chauhan, Rita Nashikkar, Stuti Khrisagar, Shannon Meshak, Shalom Thorat, Rekha Waghmare, Khushi Ingle, Sarita Kasbe, Sanskruti Pal, Sunita Khrisagar, Trupti Raiborde, Dr. Suresh Wankhede, Rajesh Barde and others. Jeevan Shanti Church, Sharon Fellowship,Uday Prabha Church, Kukde Layout Fellowship Church, Community Baptist Church Dattawadi, Vet Med Outreach, helped in organizing the rally.
