Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Union Ministers Gadkari & Ahir to interact with Industrialists on 21st Aug

Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Shipping, Road Transport & Highways,  Hansraj Ahir, Union Minister of State for Chemicals & Fertilizers will be interacting with the members of Vidarbha Industries Association and industrialists of Vidarbha on Friday, 21st August 2015 at Hotel Centre Point (Palacio), Ramdaspeth, Nagpur at 9.45 am.

Chandrashekar Bawankule, Guardian Minister, Nagpur District, Subhash Desai, Minister for Industries, GoM, Pravin Pote-Patil, Minister of State for Industries & Mining, Environment, Public Works (excluding Public Undertakings), GoM would also be addressing the industrialists.

The event has special focus on Vidarbha’s industrial development. VIA has been lobbying for setting up of CIPET at Nagpur, for quite some time.  Senior Officials from Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, GOI, CIPET will also be present during the meeting to gauge the needs of the industrial fraternity of this region.  Similarly, announcement of NIPER, being established at Nagpur needs to be taken advantage by the industries of the region. The issue of revival of Maharashtra Antibiotics Limited unit at Nagpur is also to be taken up strongly on this occasion.

A plenary session on “Plastics & Chemical” Industries is also being planned during the day beginning at 12.30 pm at the same venue. The expert panelists for this Seminar shall include Apurva Chandra, Principal Secretary (Industries), GoM, Avinash Joshi, IAS, Joint Secretary, Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals, GoI, Prannoy Sharma, Director, Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals, GoI, Prof (Dr) S K Nayak, Director General, Central Institute of Plastic Engineering & Technology, Chennai  and other leading industrialists. Chairman of this session shall be Surjit K. Chaudhary, IAS, Secretary, Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals.

Members of VIA and all other business associations along with other Districts Associations of 11 Districts of Vidarbha and the industrial fraternity of Nagpur and Vidarbha are requested to attend the meet, says a press note issued by Rohit Agrawal, Secretary VIA. All are requested to occupy their seats by 10.00 a.m. for security reasons.
