Nagpur:
Chhath Puja, like every year, under the auspices of Bahurashtriya Chhath Vrat Sanstha, is being celebrated on the bank of Ambazari Lake here in the city.

Barricades and iron grills have been installed on the bank so that people could with support safely perform puja. While decorations and lightings are adding to the beauty of the function, necessary amenities provided are facilitating the devotees. Arrangement of tea and milk distribution is enhancing the spirit of ‘sewa.’

On this occasion, women observe strict fast without taking even a drop of water, which is called ‘vrat’ (fast) begining on Panchami Tithi as per Panchang.
