Chariot Bar & Restaurant owners, others booked for bashing up customer over bill

Nagpur: Two owners of Dharampeth-based Chariot Bar and Restaurant were booked along with manager and two security guards for bashing up a customer and threatening to kill him over liquor bill. In the counter complaint, cops have also booked the customer and six others on the charges of beating the bar manager.

A resident of Gawlipura, Dharampeth, Aniket Tarachand Hiranwar (30) in his complaint told police that he had gone to Chariot Bar and Restaurant around 10.30 pm on Tuesday for having liquor. The accused bar owners Ankush Jaiswal (35), Piyush Rajendra Jaiswal (38), both residents of Plot No. 286, Kharetown, Dharampeth, and the bar manager and two security guards picked quarrel with Aniket over old enmity. The accused thrashed him severely and also threatened to kill him.

Sitabuldi PSI Wankhede, based on Aniket’s complaint, booked all the accused under Sections 143, 147, 149, 294, 506(B) of the IPC and launched investigations.

However, in the counter complaint, the bar owner Piyush Rajendra Jaiswal told police that the accused Aniket Hiranwar, Nitesh Hiranwar and their five unidentified accomplices consumed liquor at the bar around 10 pm on Tuesday. The accused later disputed the bill amount and quarrelled with the bar manager. The accused Aniket Hiranwar and others hurled filthy abuses and thrashed the bar manager.

PSI Wankhede, acting on the complaint, booked the accused Aniket Hiranwar, Nitesh Hiranwar and their five unidentified accomplices under Sections 143, 147, 149, 323, 506(B), 294 of the IPC and probing the matter further.
