Nagpur News: Chain snatchers made away with gold jewellery in two separate incidents at Sitabuldi on Saturday.
In the first incident, Ashish Joshi and his friend Aniket Bansode were at Samman Lawns to attend a wedding. They parked their car nearby and were walking to the venue, when two unknown youngsters on a black bike snatched a gold chain worth Rs. 1 lakh from Ashish’s neck and sped away. Ashish’s mother Smita Vijay Joshi (56), a Ramdaspeth resident, filed a complaint at Sitabuldi Police Station in this regard.
In another incident, a gold mangalsutra worth Rs. 1.2 lakhs was snatched from Mrs. Anjali Ajay Saoji at Bajaj Nagar Square.
Sitabuldi Police have filed cases under Sections 392 and 34 in both incidences. Furher investigations are underway.
