CEO at city mall caught stealing in Duronto Exp; cash, valuables worth Rs 2 lakh recovered

In a peculiar train theft, a highly placed professional of a reputed mall was caught stealing in Nagpur bound Duronto Express. The accused was apprehended near Bhusawal and was handed over to the railway police at Nagpur Station.

The accused, resident of Jaripatka has been identified as 35 year old Shaul alias Kader Naidu. The police recovered Rs 25,000 in cash and other goods worth Rs 2 lakh from his possession.

According to information the complainant Shripad Achyukta Pingle aged 54 years, a resident of Mumbai was travelling in Berth No 49 of AC-I in Train No 12289 Mumbai-Nagpur Duronto Express. At around 12 in the night when the train was at Bhusawal Railway Station, he sensed his mobile being removed from his pocket which suddenly made him alert.

As he opened his eyes, the thief tried to escape but he apprehended him and started raising an alarm. Hearing the commotion, the other fellow passengers too woke up. The matter was reported to the train ticket examiner who in turn reported the matter to the control room of Government Railway Police (GRP).

The accused was brought to Nagpur and handed over to GRP at Nagpur Railway Station. During investigation it came to fore that he was working as a CEO of a reputed mall in the city. Everybody who was present there was baffled by this revelation. The police have registered a case under section 379 of IPC and have arrested him.

Ear-phone led to the thief!

The complainant was listening to songs through ear-phone. When the thief tried to pull the mobile phone, the ear-plugs attached with wire got pulled which woke the complainant leading to the thief from being apprehended.

Goods worth nearly 2 lakhs recovered

According to police sources, when the thief was brought to Police Station at Nagpur Railway Station, they recovered a huge cache which included one Lap-top, One I-Pad, three mobiles, one Apple I-Phone, Watched and other goods worth
