Central Govt institutions in Nagpur, Amravati celebrate R-Day with patriotic fervour

Nagpur/Amravati: The 77th Republic Day of India was celebrated across the country with pride and enthusiasm, and Central Government institutions in Nagpur and Amravati marked the occasion with equal reverence and patriotic spirit. The celebrations featured flag hoisting ceremonies by heads of institutions, followed by cultural programmes including patriotic songs and dances, reflecting the true essence of Republic Day. The events proved to be memorable for students, parents and staff members alike. At the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Nagpur, Director Dr Bhimaraya Metri unfurled the national flag on Monday as part of the 77th Republic Day celebrations. The ceremony was followed by a series of cultural performances organised on the campus.

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Nagpur celebrated the national festival with dignity and enthusiasm. Executive Director and CEO Prof Dr Prashant Joshi hoisted the national flag, after which security personnel showcased discipline and unity through a march-past parade.

The National Academy of Direct Taxes (NADT), Nagpur, celebrated Republic Day with great pride. Participants from 22 countries undergoing training under the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) programme also took part in the celebrations, adding an international dimension to the event.

At the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), Amravati, Republic Day was celebrated with high enthusiasm. Students recited patriotic poems and shared their thoughts, highlighting the values enshrined in the Constitution.

At the headquarters of the Indian Bureau of Mines (IBM), Nagpur, Director General Pankaj Kulshreshtha unfurled the national flag in the presence of officers and staff.

The Western Coalfields Limited (WCL), Nagpur, also marked the occasion with spirited celebrations, reflecting commitment to national values.

Similarly, CSIR-National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI), Nagpur, celebrated Republic Day with enthusiasm, featuring cultural programmes and active participation from employees.

The Composite Regional Centre (CRC), Nagpur, functioning under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, celebrated the 77th Republic Day with deep patriotic fervour. The programme included floral tributes and collective singing of the national anthem. Staff members of CRC Nagpur, employees of the Pradhan Mantri Divyasha Kendra, CCCGP students, parents, caregivers and members of the general public participated actively, showcasing unity and national pride.
