Nagpur News: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a complaint against Navratna Company WCL (Western Coalfields Liited), after a test report revealed substandard coal at WCL’s Mungoli Open Cast Mine.

The laboratory test was done on samples collected from the mine during a joint investigation conducted by WCL’s own Vilgilance Department, CBI’s Anti- Corruption Bureau and the Indian Bureau of Mines between 26th and 30th July.

Offences have been filed against WCL’s Wani Area CGM R C Sanodia, Manager Deepak Pandya, Sub- Area Manager MD Sabeer and Assistant Manager K Bhaskar, since it is now evident that the storing of substandard coal took place with the knowledge and consent of these four officials.
