Cash, gold worth Rs 6.38 lakh stolen from Jaripatka house, 2 juveniles detained

Nagpur: A team of Unit-5 of Nagpur Police Crime Branch detected Rs 6.98 lakh burglary at the residence of Maya Gopal Deshbhratar in Jaripatka area and detained two juvenile delinquents in this connection.

During questioning in the presence of their parents, the two boys in conflict with the law spilled the beans and confessed to stealing Rs 5.30 lakh cash and gold ornaments worth Rs 1.68 lakh from the house of Maya Gopal Deshbhratar at Lane No 8, near overhead water tank at Indora.

The two boys along with two others entered the house after breaking the kitchen window and made away with cash and gold ornaments when Deshbhratar family had gone on pilgrimage to Maihar in Madhya Pradesh.

Acting on a tip off, cops trapped the two boys and recovered Rs 19,710 from the two juveniles.

Rs 2 lakh cash stolen from house in Wathoda

Rs two lakh cash was stolen from a house in Wathoda area. Kabirdas Radhelal Ahirwar (38), a resident of Plot No 71, Sakore Layout, Jija Mata Nagar, and his family had gone to Seoni, Madhya Pradesh, to attend a relative’s engagement ceremony. Ahirwar’s house was locked from May 18 to May 21. Taking advantage of the situation, a thief sneaked into his house from the rear door and made away with Rs two lakh cash.

Following Ahirwar’s complaint, Wathoda Police registered a case under Section 380 of the Indian Penal Code and probing the matter.
