Cash and valuables worth Rs 1 lakh burgled

Nagpur News: Lule family, who had gone for the last rituals of their relative, were shocked to find their home burgled at Gurudutta society in Narendra Nagar. Vishwanath Lule suffered a loss of valuables and cash worth Rs 1 lakh.

Lule and his family had locked their residence on Monday morning. The next day, the family returned to find their house ransacked and cash Rs 5000 and gold ornaments were stolen. Ajni police, who investigated the spot, suspect that the thieves had entered the house through rear door.

Police said the burglars had broken open the latch of the rear door and entered home.

 

In another incident a man killed in hit-and-run mishap

Hudkeshwar police are on the look out for a hit and run driver who knocked dead a 45-year-old scrap dealer on Pimpalgaon highway on Tuesday early morning.

Shaikh Kalam, a resident of Bidipeth, was taking his kiosk loaded with scraps towards his residence when an unidentified speeding vehicle knocked him leaving him seriously injured. Kalam succumbed to his injuries till passers-by noticed him and alert the police.

Later, the police shifted the body to GMCH and an accident case of hit and run was registered at Hudkeshwar police.
