Nagpur: A case has been registered against a youth in Nagpur for wrongfully posting Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’ family photograph on social media.
“I’ve registered a case against Ajay Hatewar here in Nagpur for maligning CM’s image by wrongfully putting his old family photographs on twitter,” Dharampal Meshram, a BJP worker from Nagpur who registered the case told FPJ.
“The case has been registered at the Nandanvan police station and the police told me that this is a case of cyber crime and they would initiate action against under the provisions of relevant law,” Meshram said adding that we have given them an ultimatum of 24 hours.
While Chief Minister Fadnavis was on the US tour one of his old family picture went viral on the social sites with captions claiming them to be the latest pictures from the CM’s US tour.
Meanwhile, Fadnavis today returned after a week-long official tour of the US, to which he led a delegation to attract investments in the state.
Fadnavis left for US on June 29. He addressed several meetings with trade and business houses in the United States, visited Google and General Motors headquarters among others during the trip.
He also addressed the Brihan Maharashtra Mandal convention in Los Angeles on July 3.
