Nagpur: Carelessness on the part of a man cost him dear. The man kept kitchen door ajar while going out. And the burglars took advantage of the situation and decamped with Rs 10 lakh in cash kept in a cupboard. The burglary took place in Daga Layout under Bajaj Nagar police jurisdiction.
A resident of Flat No. 401, Shrikrishna Apartment, Daga Layout, Nishant Vimalkumar Birla (37), while going for duty forget to lock kitchen door between June 7 and 14, 2018. This mistake cost him dear as unidentified miscreant(s) took advantage of the ‘inviting’ situation and entered his house through the open door.
Once inside, the burglar(s) laid their hands on Rs 10 lakh cash kept in the drawer of a cupboard in bedroom and decamped with the booty.
Bajaj Nagar police constable Meghraj, based on the complaint of Nishant Birla, registered a case under Section 380 of the IPC and launched a search to apprehend the burglar(s).
