With the upcoming season of Bank Audits, Nagpur Branch of WICASA had organized a Full-Day Seminar on Bank Branch Audits for CA students on 28th March, 2015 which was inaugurated by Mr. S. K. Hota, Deputy General Manager of Canara Bank, Nagpur. While inaugurating the seminar he appreciated the role of CA’s in the development of Banking sector. He also stated that number of young CA’s choosing banking as their carrier is increasing and therefore while doing the articleship CA students should prepared thoroughly so that they get practical exposure while auditing Banks. He further added that industries are funded by bankers and that the learning experience is huge in this field. He advised the participants to stick to their timelines and understand the bankers role from both sides, as an auditor as well as the banker. He also appreciated the efforts of Nagpur Branch of WICASA for organizing such seminars to update the knowledge of the students. Lastly, he whole-heartedly welcomed the Chartered Accountants for the Annual Audit.
Earlier Guest of Honour, CA Julfesh Shah, Regional Council Member, congratulated the new WICASA team and also congratulated Mr. Atal Bihari Vajpayee on receiving the Bharat Ratna. He added that the new WICASA theme, Perform to Succeed is apt and will motivate students when they get depressed or is upset. He guided the students on how to prepare for Bank Audit and shared his experience over the same.

The Chairperson of Nagpur Branch of WIRC of ICAI, CA Kirti Agrawal in her address also guided the students on how to understand the system of Bank Audit and the necessity of maintaining proper audit working papers. She said that everybody should remember the 3D’s – Dedication, Discipline and Documentation. She congratulated WICASA Nagpur for organizing such seminars at the apt time which would enhance the knowledge of students while performing their duties.
The Chairman of Nagpur WICASA, CA Suren Duragkar welcomed the students and explained the theme of WICASA. He also thanked the speakers of the seminar, CA Sankalp Deshpande, CA Govind Batra, CA Swapnil Agrawal and CA Yash Verma for sparing their valuable time and sharing their knowledge for future of the profession. He updated the students with the WICASA activities and appealed them to participate in large number in such events to groom their personality.
WICASA Secretary, Shivani Sarda coordinated the Inaugural Session and the proceedings. Treasurer, Animesh Poddar presented a formal vote of thanks. Prominently present on the occasion were CA Swapnil Ghate, Vice-Chairman, Nagpur, ICAI, Mr. B.S.R.Murthy, Assistant General Manager of Canara Bank Nagpur, Mr. Neeraj Kumar Chief Manager of Nagpur Canara Bank, Farid Panjwani jt. Secretary, WICASA and a large number of students.
