Burglars target a house, relieve owner with booty worth Rs 2,65,000 in Sakkardara area

Nagpur News: Burglars on the prowl targeted a house and relieved the owner of booty worth Rs 2,65,000 on Monday.

According police, the owner of the house Atul Tambekar (35), resident of Gayatri Apartment, Bhande Plot, Sakkardara, along with family, had gone to a temple in Dighori for “Abhishek Pooja”  on the occasion of “Shravn Somwar” . At the same time, taking advantage of the situation, burglars broke the door lock open and entered the house. Once inside the house, the goons target the almirah and grabbed Rs 2,00,000 in cash and gold ornaments collectively worth Rs 2,65,000. The theft was noticed when Atul Tambekar and his family returned home. Atul rushed to Sakkardara police station and lodged a complaint in this regard. The police have registered an offence of theft and are investigating further.
