Nagpur: Striking it in a big way, burglars relieved a house own of booty, including gold and American dollars, collectively worth Rs 2,83,000. The house-breaking occurred between 8 pm of Thursday and 2 pm of Friday when the owner along with family had gone out of station.
According to police, the complainant Pradeep Markandrao Pardhi (58), resident of Plot No. 27, Shrihari Nagar No. 1, Manewada Road, Nagpur, along with family, had gone to Gondia for some domestic work. Taking advantage of the situation, burglars broke open the lock of main door and entered the house. Once inside, the criminals cleaned the bedroom locker by laying their hands gold-silver ornaments, American dollars, costly watch, camera, goggle collectively worth Rs 2,83,000. The theft came to notice when the house owner Pradeep Pardhi returned to Nagpur.
Ajni PSI Morey, acting on the complaint lodged by Pradeep, booked the unidentified burglars under Sections 454, 457, 380 of the IPC and searching for them.
