Burglars strike it rich in Bajaj Nagar

Unidentified burglar(s) struck at a house in Bajaj Nagar jurisdiction and not only laid their hands on jewellery and cash but also decamped with a car parked in compound wall of the house. The burglars got richer by Rs 7.28 lakh collectively.

The victim house-owner Arun Ramchandra Deshpande locked his residence situated at Plot No. 56, P&T Colony, opposite Post Office and went to Pune to meet his son. Between February 10 and 13, the miscreants targeted his house. They smashed window grills, gained entry into the house and laid their hands on gold ornaments and Rs 3000 in cash kept in a steel almirah. While fleeing, the burglars also took away Deshpande’s white-coloured Hyundai I10 car (MH-31/EU 6643) parked in compound wall of the house.

Collectively, the crooks bolted with a booty of Rs 7.28 lakh. The theft came to notice of Arun Deshpande when he returned to Nagpur around 6.45 am on Monday.

Bajaj Nagar API Malche has registered a case under Sections 454, 457, 380, 379 of the IPC and launched a search to apprehend the offenders.
