Burglars strike at 4 places, flee with booty worth over 13 lakh

Burglars struck at four places including KTPS Store Rooms and made their escape good with booty worth over Rs 13 lakh.

In the first incident, unidentified miscreants burgled two Store Rooms of New Project DM Plant Area of KTPS and decamped with metal valves, spray nozzles, and other goods worth Rs 2.44 lakh. The theft took place between February 10 and 13. On the basis of a complaint lodged by Prabhat Ranjanram Brixsingh, Site In-charge of New Fire Engineering Pvt Ltd, Koradi PSI Pawar has booked the accused under sections 454, 457, 380 of IPC and searching them.

Cable and other material worth Rs 7.33 lakh were stolen from godown of a company situated at Plot Nos. 154 to 162 in Wadi. Logistics Officer Piyush Haridas Meshram (31), resident of Rameshwari Jogi Nagar, registered a case against unidentified thieves at Wadi Police Station. PSI Rakhunde has booked the accused under sections 454, 457, 380 of IPC and searching them.

In the third incident, flat of Kavita Sandeep Savarkar (41), situated at Plot No. 401, Rajat Hill Apartment, Kachimet, was targeted by unidentified goons. Kavita locked her flat around 7.45 am on Wednesday and went to Centre Point School, Dabha, along with her son. In the meantime, a burglar broke open lock of main door and decamped with gold ornaments worth Rs 1.70 lakh and cash Rs 8000 kept at steel almirah in bedroom. On the basis of her complaint, Wadi PSI Ingole has registered a case under sections 454, 380 of the IPC and looking for the offender.

A 51-year old woman was robbed of gold jewellery worth Rs 1.09 lakh. A resident of Chhatrapati Nagar, Supriya Suresh Upre on Wednesday at about 4.30 pm was boarding a bus at Mor Bhavan for going to home. Taking advantage of rush, a miscreant filched her handbag and removed gold ornaments worth Rs 1.09 lakh. Sitabuldi API Thakur, acting on her complaint, booked the unidentified accused under Section 379 and searching for him or her.
