Burglars made away with 19 lakhs from separate incidents

Nagpur News : Burglars barged into the house of a businessman and decamped with cash Rs 5 lakh and 324 gram gold ornaments worth over Rs 12 lakhs on Friday at Surya Nagar in Kalamna.

Ravi Khandelwal, 31, who owns timber business and his family, was busy at his sister’s wedding at Wardhaman Nagar.

After the wedding, the family returned to find their house ransacked and cash, jewellery missing. Khandelwal immediately alerted Kalamna police and a case was registered.

In another incident, thieves broke open into a tiles and sanitary shop on Great Nag road and made away with cash Rs 30,000 and other materials worth Rs 7 lakhs. The shop owner, Sachin Jain had locked the shop on Thursday night. He learnt about the burglary on Friday morning. Kotwali police has registered a case.
