Booty worth Rs 3.47 lakh stolen from 2 houses

Two more house-breaking cases were reported in city and the burglars relieved the owners of booty worth Rs 3,47,500.

According to police, in the first incident, the criminals struck at the house of Wakar Siddique Masiuddin Siddique (57), staying at Plot No. 587, Collector Colony, Godhni, Nagpur during the intervening night of Friday and Saturday between 2330 hours and 0130 hours. Wakar Siddique Masiuddin Siddique had gone to Teka for attending a marriage ceremony. The burglars entered the house from backdoor and cleaned an almirah with gold ornaments and cash of Rs 10,000 collectively valued at Rs 2,20,000. Koradi Police Station PSI Dhanorkar, acting on the complaint of Wakar Siddique, registered an offence under Sections 457, 389 of the IPC against the unidentified thieves and probing the matter further.

In the second incident, house of Mohd Sharuk Javed Abdul Majid (55), Plot No. 58, Gorle Layout, Awasthi Nagar, Nagpur, was targeted by the goons. Mohd Sharuk had gone to Nandura for some personal work. Taking advantage of the situation, miscreants struck the house between 5 pm of 5.5.2014 and 7 am of 8.5.2014 by cutting open window bars. The thieves decamped with gold ornaments, computer, TV, camera, watch and cash of Rs 20,000 collectively valued at Rs 1,27,500. On the basis of complaint lodged by Mohd Sharuk, Gittikhadan PSI Bhute has registered an offence under Sections 454, 457, 389 of the IPC against the unidentified criminals and investigating the matter further.
