Booty worth Rs 1.10 lakh stolen from two houses in Kalamna

Nagpur: Gold ornaments and cash worth 1.11 lakh were stolen from two houses in Kalamna police jurisdiction.

In the first incident, complainant Jayprakash Shukla (32), resident of Plot No 36, Parvati Nagar, Manjri, told police that he had gone to the residence of his relatives between June 28 and July 2. In the meantime, unidentified miscreants gained entry into his house by smashing latch of the main door and decamped with gold ornaments and cash to the tune of Rs 76,000.

Similarly, gold booty and cash worth Rs 35,000 were stolen from residence of Hemraj Vaidya (47) at New Laxmi Nagar, Manjri.

Kalamna police have registered a case under Sections 454,457,380 of the IPC and searching for the burglars.
